In 2008 Andries founded Odyssey Group (Isle of Man) that specialized in Car Hire Excess Insurance where he grew the business over the course of the next two years online via website Odyssey insurance.co.uk and via aggregators and affiliates before taking the company to the U.K. market.
In 2012 Andries was appointed as Executive Director (CF1 FCA and CF) of TravelExcess /MultiExcess U.K where he was responsible for establishing and managing the overall operational aspects for a leading online insurance excess provider.
In 2015 Andries was appointed CEO of Moneybet PLC, a online betting, trading, broker providing trading in financial markets and sporting sector. He was instrumental in company expansion and preparing for the Stockmarket listing in Q3 of 2018.
His specialise in building strategies, business development and marketing within the financial services sector having identified and launched a number of products and companies over his 20 years experience in Finance , Insurance and Business .

Prior to Odyssey Group Andries was a Broker in the city of London where he negotiated partnership allocation deals on behalf of PriceWaterhouseCoopers with CEO's ,CIO's ,CFO's and MD’s of Blue and Green chip companies.
Pierre started his career as Equity Broker and Derivatives Trader in London 23 years ago. He has extensive Advisory, Risk Management, M&A, Investment Banking and Project Development experience in the UK, South Africa and the DRC with transaction values up to USD 120 Million.
He subsequently worked at Halewood International Futures as equity and derivatives trader for 4 years. He was a Director at Hyde Forbes Capital for 7 years, responsible for their African Projects, Corporate Finance and M&A Practise.
In 2012 he established MBM Conseil & Partners in South Africa, partnering with a DRC Law Firm currently with offices in Johannesburg, Kinshasa, Lubumbashi and Kolwezi. He is currently the Managing Director of the firm in South Africa. Furthermore, he is Executive Director and lead advisor to a private investment fund actively investing into and developing niche projects in South Africa and DRC for the past 4 years.
He completed his MBA degree at Regenesys Business School in Sandton, Johannesburg in 2019.
Publications: The focus of his MBA dissertation discussed the economic value of legalising cannabis, policy change and its cultivation for medicinal use in South Africa in 2019.
He qualified as an Equity & Securities Representative via the UK Financial Services Authorities’ registered persons examination in 2000. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Johannesburg in 1998.
